It was a huge success..the kids were incredibly well-behaved, the weather was perfect, we had some great loot for the kids plus at least one door prize for everyone.

This is the first round of pictures..we had about 50 kids who spent the better part of 6 hours on the range.

I notice one thing, there are a lot of smiles going around that group, no matter what the age. It's kinda like fishing, your worst day at the range is better than your best day at work (unless, you already work at a range). This means that there is a lot of mental health going on, and that Harley sales may be the next to spike (have you ever seen a Harley parked outside of a psychiatrist's office??).

Good on you, Barbara, and your posse.

That kind of range event takes lots of work done by lots of bodies. It takes real good relationships with those who donate to the event. A ton of ammo goes downrange. Do your local papers do a story about the day? Our local paper does and its a real good thing. There seems to be record number of sign-ups each year.

This guys a natural....darn fine shooting.

Yep, got some coverage. The Argus had also done a couple blurbs before the event and Steve did a short interview on the radio the day before.

This was our second year and we plan to do it again next year. It was great this year that we got some good sponsorships and the kids all got hats and ear plugs and tons of stickers and coloring books and each of them got a hunting or fishing video in their loot bags.
