After my shoulder surgery I am seriously considering getting rid of all of my .30 caliber platforms. It just hurts to dang much. My eyes did something weird at 45 I went from 20/15 to 15/20. One thing that has helped me is putting neon orange on all my front blade sights. The only ones I didn't put through this process where trijicon sights like on my FNP.

My last two sets of glasses are what are known as occupational trifocals. They are regular bifocals on the bottom with distance vision above them as usual but with the trifocals above the distance vision portion. They are safety glass thickness plastic lenses with UV protection and anti-scratch coatings. I also bough clip on sunglasses which work much better driving than the transitions lenses I used to have. I've very happy with them for shooting pistols. I can see a textbook sight picture for the first time in my life. I haven't tried them with rifles or shotguns yet..
