I have about 1000 148gr HBWC (older Remington, I think. Very soft lead) that measure a very consistent .360 to .361. I would prefer they were .357 or .358. Can I resize them with a Lee sizing kit? If so, is the hollow base problematic? I have no experience resizing bullets, however I have lots of time and don't mind learning new stuff.

Why do you want to size them smaller ?

If they are soft lead swaged DEWC they are sized for cylinder throats being larger. The cylinder will swage them so they are tight fitting.

The only thing you need to do to them is reload them. They're an exceptionally accurate bullet as they are, and millions of them have been fired downrange over the years, including about 50,000 by me. With the suggested load of Bullseye under them, they will be much more accurate than you are......

Hope this helps.

May work in fired 38 special brass that has not been resized. Prime , bell, powder, seat, light taper crimp, fire.

This method keeps the sized case from making the bullets diameter smaller when seating.

Light target loads only.

Soft lead .360" bullets fired in a .357"-.358" cylinder throat will never be noticed by the shooter. No pressure problems, and prolly better accuracy.

Alrighty then! Use them as they are. Obviously giving those way to much thought.
Thanks !!

Back years ago when we used to cast our own bullets, the 148 gr mold we used would cast bullets around .360. By accident we loaded up a batch without resizing and found that accuracy actually improved. From that day on, we lubed but didn't resize The oversized bullets worked better when we cast them real soft. . Since GT bullets offers several different diameters, I have planned on the next ones I order will be the largest they sell which is .359.
