OWB leather for S&W 29-10 3"

I'm in the market for an OWB leather holster to fit a model 29 3". I have checked several makers, but most offer a holster in 4", but not 3".

Any recommendations?

I use a Kramer mahogany horsehide LH because in the field I don't want obstacles on the strong side belt to a rifle carried strong side.

I don't know of a factory maker for an N-frame 3". I have one that I use for "field use" just like ClarkEMyers said. I've looked around and never found a currently made production holster for the gun - just too few made I guess. S&W did some back in the 80s, but they have been out of production for decades now.

Like Clark, I also don't like things on my waist when riding, or in brush or when doing chores/tasks/etc. I use a tanker style shoulder holster for that, which was made by El Paso Saddlery. They and many other makers can create a custom holster for you, shoulder or belt. Simply Rugged is another good maker.

I realize a 629 is basically a stainless version of the 29. Would any holster made for a 629 also fit a 29. My 29 is the bounty hunter model with full lug barrel.

Turbojeff, I do not see any reason a 29 would not fit in a 629 holster.

Galco makes a very nice holster for 4" N frames. I have one and put my 4" 629 or my 4" Model 28 in it.
