With carrying a firearm, we take great responsibility while doing so. I wonder how many people really look deep inside and think about the fact that, God forbid, we have the power to write our destiny in a split second should we ever have to pass leather. I pray that day never happens, but if it does, I am prepared mentally to deal with that. How about you?

I wrote this attached article. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Often times, a person will ask me why I would want to carry a gun. In my pro-gun, pro-CCW mind, this thought process baffles me. Why do they ask? What I think is so obvious, is not to them? Is not my life worth defending? Is the bad guy more important than me in their minds? Is it not my job as a parent to protect my children? Would they rather that I was raped than to defend my life? Would they hate me if I had to defend my life from the evil doer? Do they understand my husband cannot be with me at all times to defend my honor? Do they understand that the police will not be there to protect me, but will certainly be there after the fact to make the reports? Is it not so obvious why I carry a gun?

Like just about everything else I've read at that site, your article is well thought out and well written.

No one finds freedom more frightening than lifelong slaves.

Could you please post it on a non-firearms related site?

Hi Linda,

I nodded in agreement to your article, as the rest of the THR crowd probably did. I believe it's well-written, and shouldn't be too much a shock to the non-totin' population.

Any chance you could float it around some non-firearms related sites, where it will probably change more lives?

Peace!

Thanks guys for the kudos! Thank you for the very kind compliment about Buckeye Firearms website. We try very hard.

Do you have suggestions for some non-firearm sites I should post it? I'm all for educating the uneducated!:uhoh: Please feel free to post it elsewhere, as long as the link is kept intact.
