Alright so long time lurker first time poster. Figures I wait till I need help right?
Anyway I just bought a used P95DC with no manual and after screwing around with it I finally got it field stripped and cleaned. Unfortunatly when I put it back together I didnt push the ejector back down and now the slide is stuck. If anyone can help me out with this I would appreciate it. Or if one of you guys from San Antonio could recommend a good gunsmith that would be cool too.

Hmm, I can't get the slide on at all if the ejector is up on mine. It hits the rear of the slide where a firing pin stop plate would be if there was one. If the ejector went under the rear of the slide, then it may have bent.

If you can move the slide forward at all, you might be able to go up the magwell and use a dental pick or similar thing to pull the ejector down. There are two holes in the body of the ejector that you might be able to get a hold of.

If the ejector is stuck at the rear of the slide and the rear of the ejector is visible, you can "probably" use a rubber mallet and hit the slide forward. (It's a Ruger......you could break the mallet on it.) :)

Try bending a small hook in a piece of wire and reaching up through the mag well to pull it back down. Not an uncommon occurrence.

Thanks for the replies guys I will try the wire hook first and then the mallet if that fails.

The manual link is a little late to help me now but at least the manual confirms that I am indeed a moron for putting it back together wrong.

If the slide is caught forward, Try pulling the recoil rod out and removing the pin. I've had that problem before.

Ha mallet got it back together lol. Thanks guys! I am glad I didnt take that to a gunsmith he probably would have looked at me like I was nuts. Now to go shoot it for the first time :D

I once took a Ruger P-95 to a gunsmith in pieces in ZipLock Baggies. And now I'm a gunsmithing student. So I will never laugh at a person for doing the same thing...

Did the mallet break? ;)
