For those that actually have first-hand shooting experience with both of these models...how do they compare. Have shot the Rami in .40 this past week. The HK just is more appealing and comfortable initially. I don't mind the extra $300 for the HK as I really like thier quality (own 2 already). Just want FIRST-HAND experiences for comparisons on these 2 models.

Shot them both! Like them both. Prefer the P2000SK hands down. ;)

(Both models I shot were in 9mm; I haven't fired either in .40)

The CZ can be dressed up with pretty grips, making it fatter or thinner to suit.

The P2000SK comes with interchangeable panels to suit at least four different grip preferences -- and those panels do change the measurable distance from tang to trigger, not just the perceived distance.

The CZ is somewhat ambidextrous.

The P2000SK is fully ambidextrous.

The CZ has a very heavy trigger -- even in SA mode, it weighs at least 9 pounds throughout the long trigger pull.

The P2000SK's trigger pull is equally long, but very much lighter. The LEM trigger on the P2000SK has to be experienced to be believed. Weighing around 2 1/2 pounds through most the take-up, you almost can't feel any resistance until a firm spot is encountered at the end of the pull. The trigger breaks at around 8 to 8.5 pounds from the factory -- and you can get it safely adjusted down to 5 pounds if you prefer it even lighter.

Though I'm not a fan of weapons-mounted lights, I do have to mention that the accessory rail on the P2000SK may be the deciding factor for some folks. Unlike other HK designs, the P2000SK uses an industry-standard rail, so you'll be able to find lights & accessories to suit without too much trouble.

IIRC, the CZ is somewhat heavier than the P2000SK, too.

pax,

Thanks for the comparison. I'm been leaning towards the P2Ksk but wanted a first-hand experience opinion. It'll pretty much just be for range plinking; just a toy. I have both brands currently but do prefer the Hk's. Still not 100% sure but I do appreciate the response.
