I was thinking of going with a Winchester White Box FMJ as my carry round in my new Kel-Tec P32. I had heard that expansion out of such a short barrel might be iffy at best.

That is until I sawm some gelatin tests over on Golden Loki of .32 cal ammo from a P32. Specifically the Corb-Bon 60 gr ammo seemed to expand to .432 ".

Now I'm torn - any ideas?

I use S&B's most of the time..or Win. white box...you need penetration with a .32acp..nuff said:D

If you go with HP, you should probably get the magazine spacer available from KT to prevent rimlock. It can happen although it has never happened with my P-32s. Doesn't mean it can't though. KT uses Fiocchi to test pistols for what that's worth.

A brief dalliance with Winchester SilverTips aside, I have found that I am most comfortable carrying Fiocci 71gr FMJ.

I carry the dannon noble 73 gr fmjs in my p32. I want penetration, and dont want to worry about rimlock. .380 is the smallest calibre where I debate between fmj and hollowpoints. My brotehr and I are currently checking out both for his bersa .380, which will be his first carry gun. For my p32 though, I will definitly stick with fmj.

You do need the spacer, if you go the jhp route.

We carried Silvertips in ours for a while, but we've stopped.
Reasons:
1. Possilbe rimlock at worst possible time.
2. Lack of expansion and/or penetration.

With Corbon, the ammo was so expensive, I couldn't shoot the 200rds that would make me feel comfortable in carrying it.

If you go with fmj, I would suggest S&B or Fiocchi, as they are slightly hotter than American ammo.
Our guns are stoked with S&B fmj.
