P3at Vs. J-frame

I'm getting rid of my Kel-tec P32 (anyone want one? make me an offer!!) because of my new baby coming in. She's a S&W model 360PD and she'll wear Crimson Trace grips that are no larger than the factory Hogue Bantam grip. I owned a .38 airlite before and loved it. I sold it for one reason or another and now I'm back to the old reliable J frame. There is just something so beautiful about a pocket rocket that fires .357 magnum rounds and goes bang everytime (not to mention the accuracy the CT grips give it after zeroing.) Don't get me wrong, the P32 is a great little gun but it is more of a novelty piece than a true self-defense gun. Maybe I'll hold on to the P32, maybe I'll let her go. For now, I'm in love with the gun coming in this week.

I used to carry a P3AT all the time in RF pocket. Haven't carried it at all since I got my airweight "J" - I carry it in the same spot.

Ditto. Replaced my P3AT with a J-frame, S&W 432PD .32 H&R Mag. I like the feel of the J-frame better and the .32H&R ballistics are better.

I have carried a J-frame S&W since 1975, now I have a 337 that I carry and of course all of the steel and airweight predecessors. They have never let me down.

Another vote for the J-Frame I carry a 649 every day. I would not bet my life on a KelTec, sorry but the one I fired was not reliable or accurate.

Shot my J frame today (20 rounds 125 gr. Corbon .357, 10 rounds 130 gr. Federal Personal Defense .357 and 20 rounds 38 +p Winchester SXT) and I love it! What an accurate gun for its size. The .357 loads are a bit punchy but they aren't bad. After the .357 rounds, the +p .38s wer nothing. After all, this is a gun you shoot a little and carry a lot. For what it is worth, I could fire all 5 rounds one handed pretty quickly and still hit the paper. I'm happy with that. Again, my vote for the J frame.

BTW, the lasergrips work great but I'm going to send them to the factory. I think I have a bad set as they will not always consistently light up when need be. That could be a problem.

J frame I primary carry a S&W model 60. Its great I carry IWB but if Im just walking around or going out for a bit I can just throw it in a pocket and go.Plus I really trust the reliability of a revolver for ccw.
