hey yall...
I've been thinking about canning the elk rifle idea for a while.
Why? If my folks move soon (which is highly likely), I'll lose my area to hunt,
my place to butcher, and my help. Also, if a dem'krat get elected (God forbid!)
they prob'ly won't go after elk rifles. They will go after evil 1911s.
And other Cool Black Weapons. Especially autloaders.
Right now, our local dealer has a Para 1911 LTC in 4.5" (my fave size)
for $629, with 3 mags and a nice little cleaning kit.
He also has the Springfield 1911, the one that says "US" on the grips, and is
modeled after the WWII issue 1911s for $465 with two mags, also in 4.5"
I might add, I prefer the Para to the Springfield just via looks, sites, but about even on the feel.
SO.
Any comments of one vs. the other?
OR third options?
