I bought this gun a few months ago. It was advertised as new although it was produced in the mid-1990's. The seller had apparently bought a number of Paras for future resale. The pistol appeared to be new. For the first few sessions at the range, the pistol jammed about once or twice every mag. I replaced the recoil spring with a stronger one because the pistol seemed reluctant to go into battery. Jams continued but were less frequent. My assumption was that the pistol just needed to be broken in because the 14-45 I bought about the same time has been totally reliable. We shot three mags through the 12-45 this week down near Jackson MS and had no jams. I was delighted. I think the breaking in plus the stronger spring has done the trick. I am happy about this because the pistol has a fine trigger and is quite accurate.
