Parallax focus

I focused the subject Zeiss as close as 10 yards away yesterday. The official spec on it is 10yds to infinity.

What I'm getting at is if you want a scope that is in focus at the ranges you shoot, that doesn't come with AO, just because nobody here was able to point you in the right direction doesn't mean there isn't one out there. Maybe the best place to ask the question is a message board that has a user base more tied to the 25 - 50 yard shooting range like gatewaytoairguns.org?

All I can say is I feel your pain, I have purchased all the scopes I plan on buying and am trying to make due with a non-AO with parallax set to 50 yards and primarily (at least for now) "stuck" on a 25 yard shooting range. All flyers could easily be me, but no way to tell.

I could say a lot more about parallax, it's relation to focus, to depth of field not so much, but it's already a long response to a dead thread so I better not.

Thanks for your input, but I think I was pointed in the right direction. I'd just never owned a scope with parallax adjustment before. Through lots of great responses, I understand what I have now, how to work with it and am good with it all. Great scope, just took a little getting used to.
