Good evening:

Nice to be back online. I have just seen a print ad for this Pardini pistol. I have never heard of the maker but with my limited knowledge that means little.

Does anybody know anything about this pistol? Is it any good? Is it reliable? Can anybody post a picture?

Your input will be greatly appreciated

What are you planning to do with it? Those suckers are world class top of the line competition pistols. Pardini has a website. Google Pardini. ***Warning, STICKER shock to follow***

I'm probably five or six months away from buying a Euro pistol. I'd buy American if there were any top class .22 long rifle pistols still being made.

All my High Standards are wearing out. My pre-agreement Smith & Wesson model 41's trigger has developed creep. It's a dandy plinker and an okay practice gun, but not a true match pistol. I bought a Ruger Mark II to shoot as a practice gun, but it was just a waste of money and an insult to my intelligence. If I could figure out how to build stocks for my Browning Medalist, I might be in business; unfortunately, I'm considerably less handy than I used to be.

I'd rather not buy a European anything, truth to tell, but there doesn't seem to be anything else on the market. Pardini is on my list, along with Walther, Benelli, and Morini.

My wife is forunate that she gets to play with Pardini's, Morini's and Feiwerkbau's at work for free.

I'm unfortunate in that now that the wife has used the best target pistols available, she wants one of her own. :(

I hear ya Standing Wolf, but they do make great pistols. I've had a Benelli MP95E for about ten years now and it has been great. It won't break the bank like Pardini.

The Pardini SP is a world class ISSF style pistol, intended for the 'Standard Pistol' or Woman's Olympic 'Sports Pistols' matches. When comparing other dedicated ISSF pistols, the standard SP is actually one of the more reasonably priced. If you are someone who does not have to ask how much, pistols like the Walter SSP, and Matchguns MG3, and FWB AW93 cost much much more.

The earlier Pardinis had a problem with the frames cracking, but this was corrected a long time ago. They are very nice pistols to shoot, and are more forgiving than most pistols of this style.

From memory there is actually not a model called SPE. There is however a GPE, which is a rapid fire variant like the one that Ralf Shummann uses. Expect to pay though the nose for that one. But also bear in mind Shummann won the Olympics with something similar.

When looking at pistols like this, remember, if you are not a world class shooter, it is not likely that you will be any more accurate with one, than with a Buckmark. But if you can afford it, and want something better than the American offerings, then go for it.

The Pardini SPE is no longer made - replaced by and pretty much identical to the Pardini SP.

For my money, the Pardini SP is the best smallbore bullseye pistol available, at any price. Perfect balance, excellent, highly repeatable stock sights, easy trigger adjustments that STAY in adjustment, plenty of available aftermarket stocks, and accurate as a swiss watch.

I'm actually thinking about selling mine, as I no longer shoot conventional pistol. A gun this good really deserves to be shot, and I haven't fired a smallbore pistol match in almost a year.

Chris,

If you decide to let that gun go sometime closer to the summer, let me know. The wife wants her own to shoot matches with.....
