plumberroy, that was a cheap shot.:neener:

Maybe MAX'll be along in a bit to set the record straight.

we could only hope just kidding. Remington is redesigning their websites
Roy

Have to go with Roy on this one. Looks like a website redesign. I don't see the single shot shotguns listed anywhere either. They wouldnt drop the singles, pumps and only import the excell autos. The latest press release announces a pardner pump cantilever slug gun new for 2009.

The Pardner Pump shotguns are big money makers for Remington H&R. They just introduced a new Pardner Pump slug gun this year. I doubt very seriously they would drop a big money maker. In fact I look for them to do even more business with Hawk Ind in the future. Hawk Ind. quite possibly could start making parts for the 870 shotguns.

The Hawk shotguns a very popular in many countries, not just the USA. I have sold tube extensions to Hawk 982 owners in New Zealand & Canada. The are called different names in other countries.

The manufacturing consolidation plan is old news.

So far, it doesn't include having Remington make Marlins.

Therefore, I'll still buy NIB Marlins.

Hell, why not, the Chinese already make fuselage sections for our C-130s. :barf: Let's just sell the whole country to them while we're at it.

It makes for good business for Remington to purchase a company that is selling a very popular copy of the 870. Also a company that probably has the Hawk Ind importation rights. Why try to beat them when you can just buy them out.

Cerberus knew what they were doing when they purchased H&R NEF. Everything is laid out on the table and looked at before hand.
