is parkerizing a magazine a do-it-yourself kind of job, or is it something that should be sent out? is there a kit or something and do i have to stick it in the oven to cure it and get the wife pissed at me ? i know that stuff was suppossed to be toxic. how $ ? is it worth it ?
gun came parkerized and suppossedly had 2 parkerized magazines which may not be located.

Parkerizing is a chemical finish that's done by boiling the parts in a pot full of the chemical.

There's a little more to it that that, but you can do it on the stove top. It doesn't smell up the house like baking paint does.
For best results, you really need to bead blast the parts first.

You can get free info on how to do it from Brownell's on request.

You can buy the chemicals from Brownell's and Midway.

Cheapest way to go, send it out to a professional.
