Buddy gave me a pretty laminated DDR SKS stock....with not a scrap of metal on it.

Anyone know where I might find parts unique to that SKS (especially the K98k like butt cup and screw) and will a Norinco fit in that stock once it has metal

From what I understand, DDR Sks rifles are pretty rare over here to being with--if it is a stock for a rare, almost mythical, Karabiner S, then you might get some very serious offers to purchase the stock if you wanted to sell it.

Apart from trolling gunbroker, armslist, or ebay for a bubba'ed version, you might try asking these folks http://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php or this forum https://sks-files.com/ I guess that someone might have some of the hardware leftover from tacticooling it. There are several threads on gunboards forum with pix.

Regarding the Norinco, it would probably depend on which model--the earlier Norinco with a screwed in barrel is supposedly made from Russian supplied equipment, templates, technical assistants, and machine tools to the Chinese. Later, China did its own thing--like pinning the barrel, the jungle stock, etc., and workmanship/tolerances might have wandered as well.

East german guns lacked a cleaning rod and kit, and therefore had a solid buttplate and no relief on the front for the rod, iirc. It should also have a slit in the stock for a sling.

As far as patterning, it looks almost exactly like my Romanian 56 SKS, down to the dull blade bayonet.

As for where to get the parts, you'd have to do some internet searching I'd assume. Those EG SKSs command a premium
