I'd probably start looking around for other springs that could fit and function in its place, using the Jack First parts photo as a beginning:
Being a simple coil spring, there are only three real variables; length, coil diameter and wire diameter, all of which determine strength, compressed length and other operational aspects of the part. I'd imagine you could find one close enough to operate by buying $15 worth of contenders, and trying them out.
do you have an old one, broken or not that you can pull dimensions off of? Mostly need width, but wire diameter, length, and weight would be good. There are enough people on THR that someone would probably know of a similar spring.
