I found an old Marlin 336 in a pawnshop today for $260. I've always wanted a 30-30 so i bought it. The action is smooth and the trigger feels lighter than my (new) 1894 marlin. After tracing the serial number it appears the rifle was made in 1974. The bore is bright and the rifling looks great. It looks like it wasnt shot much because i cant find any carbon build up anywhere.
