Smith and Wesson 66-3, dates to 1992, like brand new, came with a Don Hume holster (also like new). $479 plus tax! I'm gonna shoot it later today! I feel lucky to have it!

My M-66-3 is probably my single most favorite all-round handgun.

I don't run a lot of full .357 loads in it, but it shoots them well.

These factory grips definitely bite my right-hand middle finger, middle knuckle.

What a find!

I bought a -2 back in the mid 80's for $175 in near 100% with a shoulder holster I sold for a tidy $. Still have that -2 and shoot it often.

Also have a -5 that I got in a trade for a Tec9 back in 2008, I spent like $300 for the T9. I practically ran with that 66 fearing the guy would change his mind. That -5 looked like it had never been fired, no stripe or scuff marks either. It doesn't look like it did when I got it though, as it gets carried nearly every day, and I've put a good 3K of full throttle 296 jacketed loads through it.

Both are still as tight and accurate as when I got them, but I have to be honest that I don't collect them, I shoot all my firearms regularly. Now all I need to find are a couple 19 snubs to go with my 66's.

Nice find, pawn shops can be awesome at times. I just picked up this Model 19-3 at my local pawn shop yesterday for $395.

Nice find !

I found this 686-3 last week at my local pawn/gun shop. Brought it home for $500 out the door. Very low mileage too. Compliments my 6" 686 very well. They're both great shooters.

Range time

Took the 66-3, my 686-6 Pro, and my Dan Wesson 15-2 to the range. These are groups from the 66-3. Two-hand hold, 10 yards, .38 Specials.

I like Model 66's and am always on the lookout for them. I am lucky enough to have two.

66 no dash 4" barrel, paid $300 FTF for it three years ago.
66-2 6" barrel, paid $375 OTD at a gun store last November.
