Afternoon 'gents,
I went to the pawn shop today downtown, and was surprised at the huge numbers of milsurps thtey had for sale. I have made up my mind to get an SKS, and then a Mosin Nagant (and an AK if funds allow). However, they had a lot, and they seemed expensive.
There was ONE Russian SKS, but it was $329, which seemed pricey. There were a host of Yugos (all with the grenade launcher extended barrel) for between $219 and $239, which also seemed a little high.
As for the Mosins, there were a host of M44s that were around $100; the M39s were all around $300!
As for the AKs, a lot of Century Arms for between $350 and $550.
Question: is this about right? They weren't all that special, rather beat up, covered in cosmoline. I was hoping for cheaper prices at a pawnshop, but they were also selling newish Glocks for $569. What do you guys think?
I'd like an SKS and perhaps a Mosin before I go overseas in May...
Best,
