recieved surprize PIF from vaalpens

vaalpens practices THR values, he is an outstanding member that posts valuable load data and doesn't hesitate to help other members!

Thank you vaalpens, for the 380auto, 9mm and 45acp small pistol primer brass!!!

Quite unexpected and made my day!!

JD

JD,

I am glad my "little" PIF is to your liking, but obviously it will never make up for everything you have given me.

Using my Wife's logic, I actually saved money by sending the small flat rate box to you before 1/17/16. So I should really thank you.

Dadgummit, I grabbed the 7MM die box only to find the FL die missing! I searched 2 times so far, but no joy in finding the FL die. One of the purposes is to clear out some of the clutter in the loading room, so as I do that that die WILL show up! I still have to break down those loaded 7 mag rounds, so I will send the whole works to you, CCWdownrange. You can have the bullets, I'm pretty sure they're 154 SST's.

snuffy, Sounds great, thank you. PM when you're ready and I'll send you my particulars. I peruse THR in the morning and evening nearly every day. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! :)

You're entirely welcome! Just be patient, it's hard for an old art-fay like me to get motivated some,,--well most days! I hope to beat flat rate increase with these PIF's. Just be patient.

I Just remembered what I was using that 7 mag fl die for. I was messing around with .410 CBC brass cases, ya know the 2.5 all brass? I needed a way to make a sever taper crimp to hold the over-shot wad in place. Turns out the body-neck taper of the 7 mag FL die is just what the doctor ordered. Running the loaded brass .410 case into the body-shoulder junction produced the nicest crimp on the mouth of the brass case. Now I just have to find where I put that die, AND find the expander/decapper stem.

javelinablanco, how many of the Lee key drive slugs do you want? As I said, you could/can have them all, since no one else has spoke up for any. I'd just as soon get them gone, to free up bench space. I can always make more if the kid ever gets done with school, gets settled down in his own house,(instead of renting apartments.)

Believe it or not, I found the FL die, and within a ½ hour, found the decapper/sizer button stem. I'll go pull the loaded ammo down, send the whole works.

I'll take em all if it's ok with you! I'll send you a pm

You got 'em! Ummm or you will when I send them.:scrutiny:;)

If somebody has been on the fence about wanting some of those slugs, well he who snoozes--looses!

Just finished pulling them apart. Another 30 cases, 28 154 SST's and I'll toss in the rest of the box of new bullets, another 24.

Well 3 MED fr BOXES LEFT Oshkosh today headed for Colorado, Texas, AND Ohio. 3 day shipping means Saturday delivery, but most times it's actually 2 days. JV, a quick count showed 171 1 oz lee slugs. 10#'s of 'em. I didn't cull them so some may be culls. I'd sort them IIWY. I hope you all can make good use of the "stuff".

You are da man snuffy!!!!

You're all very welcome. Just don't get too mad when you have to chase plastic peanuts all over the house!!:neener: I saved a bunch of them when Midway still used them to cushion the stuff I got from them. Now I'm pretty well out of them, so no one else will have to deal with them.:D

snuffy, Received the brass, dies and bullets today. Woohoo! Christmas in January (my wife's remark). She gets nearly as excited as I do when it comes to me manufacturing more ammo. CCW

Have another 20 or so new 270 win cases I found. Could sure use some 30-06 cases. Locals are out for a few weeks now.

I'm glad the package got through safely, have you finished chasing the plastic peanuts? I guess the other two boxes got lost, or they haven't been picked up yet. I don't need another thank you note, just like to know they arrived in one piece.

Received another surprise PIF from jell-dog

I know jell-dog has been looking for some additional 357mag brass a while ago.

A week or so ago I mentioned to JD that I am getting a Ruger SP101 and would like to tap into his reloading expertise since I will be loading 38special and 357mag for the first time.

Fast forward to today, and what did I receive in the mail? Another surprise PIF from JD. Not only is it a PIF, but he sent me a nice package of 357mag brass. It must have been difficult for JD to part with his 357mag brass, but since he is an upstanding member of THR and decided that some other member probably needs a helping hand to get started, he dipped into his stash of 357mag brass and mailed it to me.

JD, I do appreciate the generosity.

snuffy,
Received the package yesterday. Wow that's a lot of slugs lol! I'm sure they will come in handy.
P.S. Did you electrically charge those peanuts? They are sticking to everything lol

Who let the dogs out?

The dogs, Dudedog and jell-dog just never stops amazing me. A week ago I received a surprise PIF from jell-dog, and today it was a surprise PIF from Dudedog.

I just received a new Ruger SP101, which means I will be reloading 38special and 357mag for the first time. Dudedog gave me some advise regarding loads, crimping etc., and then he went above and beyond and sent me a surprise PIF. Included in the PIF is some 38special brass, and 5 bags of sample bullets. Each of the bags also include a note indicating how it should be loaded, and some advice on how to crimp.

Dudedog is an upstanding member of this forum and he has helped me tremendously while I am still learning the nuances of handloading.

Thanks Dudedog. Your generosity is highly appreciated.
