Found a couple dozen fairly decent 7.62 x 39 cases at the state land gravel pit today. I don't load that caliber but figured someone might be able to use them. Ran them through the tumbler for a couple hours. They all have a dent in about the same spot on the body of the case (see pics). If anyone would like them let me know and I'll get them moving in your direction.

My SKS likes them. But my Single shot won't reliably fire steel cased ammo. It's a reload or expensive factory ammo proposition.

Anyone looking for an RCBS Military Crimp Swaging kit? I got one but it doesn’t fit my press. I did use it once and swaged enough 308 brass to know it works but it didn’t set flush and damaged my press a little. The swager is undamaged. It just has a little color from pushing against the brass.

I had to laugh a little at walmart. They sell 7.62x51 ammo. The gal at the counter said were not supposed to have it. I told her it's 308. Oh she said.

you beat me to it! lol! was toasting bread with chicken soup….

What kind of press do you have? I have a Lee O press single stage. There are two little gussets near the ram and those got in the way of the ring that removes the brass from the plunger/swager.

I have only tried the large swager on some 7.62x51 brass. I have a supply of decrimped 223 brass so I didn’t try small primer crimps.

I promise you the rcbs crimp remover is faster and gooder. It leaves a beautiful chamfer which makes seating a primer so easy.

That's actually when I needed a 380 for serious concealment.
My work and locale now doesn't require that level of concealment. So I have gotten rid of my 380.
Someone was trying to be helpful and put all my brass into 81mm mortar cans. The 380 is in it somewhere.
