Pay it Forward in Reloading

I didn’t notice anything different about the 357 sig when I shot the one a buddy had 10 years ago. It didn’t bark excessively.

I have about 220 pieces of .223 range brass up for grabs. No idea how many firings. 170+ pieces of LC, 35 pieces G.F.L, and 20 or so other mixed head stamp. They've been decapped with a universal decapping die and wet tumbled with Dawn and Lemi-shine, no pins. They'll just fit in a small flat rate USPS box, so for $10 shipping they'll go to whoever speaks up first.

220 rounds will fit 8 mags if you put 28 rounds in each mag.

I always wanted a .223 Bolt Gun! I borrowed one from my brother 20 years ago and it was so much fun for shooting 100-300 yards
There so many people shooting it, especially in AR platform, that I have no desire to shoot .223, especially in AR platform. Probably the dumbest reason to decide whether or not to choose a cartridge, but so be it. I'd like to pick up a nice used .22-250 and load for that instead.

I was in the same boat, was so common it was not cool. Until I bought a AR… .223 is very versatile and accurate. You should Pick up a cheapo Ruger AR or put one together. Everyone should have one

Maybe in 10 years when the fad has died down and they're a dime a dozen on the used market. Then in another 10 years it'll be "retro."

I bought a Ruger American Carbine in .223 to compliment my Super 16 Contender barrel in .223. It’s okay. Not spectacular but fine for coyotes. Only problem is it’s not made for iron sights. I got a decent scope for it but I don’t shoot it very often because I just really prefer diopter sights.

I put together a 20” Carry handle AR. Put moderate quality parts in it. I still have not shot it yet, but looks good on the wall.

Up for grabs. 3 standard hand guards, 2 have integral heat shields. 1- dpms stock and 1- code black goose choke for browning / Winchester invector ( never out of the box)

I may have a few more things. Trying to clean up the reloading cabinet.

I would like to thank Skidmarx for selling my son in law some reloading components to get him started. He gave him more than a fair deal and was able to offer advice on what presses to look for moving forward. It's nice to know some are willing to help the next generation get started and realize that money isn't everything.

If your Ruger has a picatinny rail, you could consider a set of MBUS sights. It looks like it would be a rather short distance between them however.

This is a front sight at Midway, others make these type of sights as well.

It just has the receiver mount. This is the sporting rig, not the tactical. It only takes the 4 round box magazine. Thanks for the link, though. Maybe someone else can use it.
It does have the threaded barrel so I put a flash can on it to make it a little better for night shooting. It actually redirects the sound pretty well. I only paid $250 for it NIB on a clearance deal in 2017 so I’m perfectly happy with it. I guess the improved mag-well models came out the distributors wanted t dump the Ruger-proprietary mag models so it went c-h-e-a-p. Nice carbine. Not great but nice.
