Pay it Forward in Reloading

BrianC636: The package came yesterday. Thanks!

pmitch: My schedule has been crazy but I'll do my best to get to the post office this week. Again, no rush. :)

Bad news... My wife and I spent the night away at a hotel Friday night and I came home this morning and did my regular thing.. When I went to my basement around noon I found a Window broken and all but 2 of my guns gone. My brand new Lee turret press (which I haven't even used yet.. Still in the box) all my dies, gunpowder and pretty much every other reloading supply I had. Just a heads up if you don't have one buy a safe.

That is a horrible feeling. Experienced it myself a few years back when I lived in Goose Creek SC.

Oh Man.......That Stinks!!!!!

Oh man, that bites. Really sorry to hear that.
Hopefully insurance will at least cover your monetary loss.
I had one of my houses broken into a while back. They took everything that wasn't nailed down. Even silverware. It's a horrible feeling. What a bunch of dirtbags.

Hey, Boltlover, so sorry to hear the news. Great advice. I should heed it. I have outgrown my safe and a couple items remain insecure.

I agree a safe is a great idea for guns, but there's no way I can put my reloading supplies completely away every time I leave the apartment. I will eventually move into a house and will probably fortify a whole room with steel plate in the walls, but until then it's a roll of the dice.

I, too, had a home broken into about 15 years ago. I had a gun safe, but they ransacked the house and stole anything/everything of value that could be put in a backpack. Including jewelry, about $200 cash and all of my son's music cd's. Cops said there wasn't so much as a fingerprint on the safe. Got good prints at the entry point and off door knobs, though. Cops figured it was kids as there was a school bus stop along the west side of the house (corner lot). Never recovered anything or arrested anybody.

We all work hard to accumulate things that mean something to us and we spend our hard earned money earned with our most precious, irreplaceable and limited commodity: our time. And then somebody has the gall to break into our home and steal it. :fire::fire:

I served in the military way back when I was a young man and to this very day I cannot tolerate a thief.

My heart goes out to you and your wife, Boltlover. I hope your insurance can make you whole again.

Poper

Absolutely let us know.
I'll be glad to help if I can spare something you need.

My father, brother and I all pitched in together when we started loading and bought an RCBS Rockchucker Supreme kit. We accumulated an extra RCBS RS press, tumbler etc. We kept it in my brother's shop and one day he calls me and tells me its all gone.
95% of our equipment just disappeared. His homeowners covered it but of course it didn't replace all our costs.

Please let us know what you need. Many of the small things you don't think about until you need them. There's a lot of good guys here that I'm sure will help.
