I was ordering some ammo from Eric at Ammoman.com the other day and noticed he has posted a statement on his website which says "Do not use PayPal as PayPal is anti-gun".

I've done a lot of business through PayPal but would not have a problem avoiding them if this is really true.

Is it true? Does anyone know anything about this?

Paypal is pro $$$. I have paid for all sorts of goodies using them. They do take a small pinch of the funds however. Paypal is now owned by EBay which is anti however, and owned by an evil scientoligist so, who knows what is coming?

An awful lot of gun transactions are done via Paypal. If they are anti-gun they are incredibly bad at being anti-gun. :D

I bought a Bushmaster shorty upper using Paypal, and numerous other goodies in private transactions.

Also bought precious metals off Ebay, which is a lark because I have one of the older type Paypal accounts where I only use my credit card. My Visa has a cash-back system, so I get a 2% rebate! Try going into a coin shop or precious metals dealer and ask if they take Visa.

They may not support Gun owners, but I don't think they are working against us.

Here's where that rumor may have come from:

Paypal has a PayPal Shops service, where they will link to your web storefront on their site, and you can set up easy PayPal payment links. HOWEVER, they won't let you have a PayPal Shop for selling firearms (except antiques, C&Rs, etc). ALSO, the PayPal MoneyBack Guarantee does not apply to firearms purchases.

I've emailed them asking why this is; no response yet.

If you want more info from PayPal, go do a search for Allowable Goods and Services Guide, and let your fingers do the walkin'.

Ebay/Paypal...Trust me...they ARE anti-firearm. I have been a member for years. I recently listed a muzzle brake on Ebay after checking for other listings of the same type item. There were literally dozens for sale so I went ahead and listed mine. They pulled the listing and when I inquired as to why they told me I cannot list anything gun related that is required to make a firearm disharge. ??? Last time I checked my muzzle brake had nothing to do with the firing pin. They went on to say that they were justified in pulling the listing and downgrading my perfect compliance rating and that they cannot catch all of those evil listings. Furthermore, they requested that I report any that I run across!!!~Not likely! If something that stupid isn't anti...well then...like Uncle Ted says..."am I the one that's crazy?" Heed the warning...Don't take the chance...switch to GunPal for your future transactions or stick with the good old USPS Postal money orders.

What's wrong with his first post?

    It is the truth.
I had the same thing happen to me.

I was a well established buyer & seller on eBay for quite some time, dealing mostly in old firearms parts, and antique glass for my wife.

Then, the eBay anti-gun stance hit with a vengance.

I no longer do any business with eBay, or PayPal, which is owned by eBay.

Srew'm both and the horse they rode in on!

Nothing wrong with the content. Timing, now that might be another issue.
