Just a reminder that I will be conducting a Handgun III class at South River on 4/17 and spots are available.
Prerequisites: NRA Basic Pistol and/or NRA Personal Protection or prior suitable training from another approved course of instruction or IDPA marksman/IPSC "C"
The intent of this course is to take the student to the next level beyond the basic classes. The "Combat Triad" of Mindset, Gunhandling and Marksmanship provide the basis for this course. You will review gun safety, fundamentals such as marksmanship, sight alignment and trigger control and progress toward more advanced subjects. You will learn presentations from retention and the holster, malfunction clearing, speed reloading and you will be exposed to the mental conditioning side of defensive shooting with topics such as situational awareness, use of deadly force and the OODA loop. This 10 hour course will be taught through a combination of lecture, demonstration and shooting drills. A certificate of training will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course.
Round count is a minimum of 300 although most attendees will shoot about 400. Tuition is $125 per person.

For anyone who was interested in attending the 5/23/04 session of "The Test" force-on-force, it is currently full. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list in the event of a cancellation, please let me know.
