Or, as I have taken to calling it now, my "pimp gun" as in Patton's quote, "Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whore house would carry a pearl handled revolver."

Anyway, got my pearlite grips in. Had to do a little fitting to make 'em work, but I think it looks sorta retro cool.

This revolver is one I bought for my step dad so I could get my grandpa's Model 10 away from him. He just wanted something for home protection. Cost me a hundred bucks back in '81. I inherited it a few years ago. The thing turns out to be quite accurate. It's perfectly timed, quite tight, and shot to point of aim with a 6 o'clock hold. It also has a windage adjustable blade later M68s don't have. It groups my wadcutter loads off the bags at 25 yards into 2". That 3" barrel and the sight radius it gives is a LOT easier to shoot that a 2"! I figured since it shoots so well, I'd buy some cheap dress up grips for it. I intend to carry this gun afield, in fact have a few times already. I have a 2" Taurus M85UL for ccw carry, along with other stuff.

Looks spiffy! My Ruger MkII pearlite grips should come in next week.

The Patton quote is always fun, but methinks a lot of folks take it to seriously.

Let the haters hate, but I do like the pearl grips, and yours look great on the bluemetal.

Shooting Buddy has the black 'pearlite' grips on his color case-hardend Vaquero. Don't have a pic, but the black ones look nice (to me, anyway) on that Vaquero.

Now the pearlites on a 1911-A1.....hmmmmmm Not sure about that

No camera sorry, and I doubt the library I'm in right now would be very happy if I whipped it out!
