Pedersoli Le Page hammer removal?

How do i remove the hammer? Ive googled and downloaded the exploded view off the Pedersoli website, but just cant see how.

Do i get a punch to fit in the square part of the hammer and tap it out that way? or do i get a punch into the screw hole and tap it thru there?

The previous owner must have put it away dirty and ive totally stripped it down to clean it, but this is the final part :banghead:

Once you have completely disassembled the lock down to only tumbler and hammer left, a square punch will push the tumbler stud through the hammer from the outside of the lock plate. Be careful that the lock plate is held firmly and don't bend it.
