The Pedersoli replica of the mid 19th Century target pistol. LePage made target arms and duelers from the flintlock period forward. This particular one is popular in the international competitions. Dixie Gunworks got it to me in two days. A lot of times, their delivery is a next-day deal:

All loads produced a fairly high five round extreme spread. The recommended load of 30 grains with the .433" ball seems a bit more than is needed. 30 grains of Pyrodex P averaged 1060 with a 150 extreme spread 20 grains did 949 and 110, 20 grains of FFFG did 868 and 104
and produced this 50 yard group over the chronograph with me sitting on the ground and resting over my knees. 20 Pyrodex P was almost as good:

The group is with 20 grains FFFG-one handed with the trigger set. Trigger pull is six and a half pounds straight but set for hair trigger it is just a few ounces.

This virus in a can is easier to see than black sights on black target. I shot it off-hand from 28 yards with a charge of 15/Hodgons 777 that averaged out at 864 fps for five shots.

Ive sent for a breakdown from Flintlocks Etc. They are supposed to be the us distributor for parts. Have you investigated any sources for spare springs and other parts?

R. Beuchamp/Flintlocks ETC came through with a spare parts / accessories order. Two days by express mail. This is the factory designated depot for service/parts and merchandise in North America.
