I'm posting here since I don't know where else it would fit. I've been shooting my tricked out Crosman 1377, steel breech, williams sight pistol for a while this winter but the targets I have found locally are rather thin. I'm not getting a nice clean hole so I can easily measure my groups.

The targets I can get locally have the thickness of copy paper. Does anyone make a decent slow fire 25 foot air pistol target at a decent price?

Thanks,

Clutch

air pistol targets

Get 110 pound card stock from any office supply store and print the targets from a pdf. I do this with 10 meter air pistol targets.

Pyramid Air had 10 meter air gun targets in 100 count packages printed on target stock for pretty cheap. This are official NRA competition targets. I use them with my IZH-46M. Works for me.

Gehman Targets

Gehman targets are very nice. You can find them at Champions Choice. They will produce very clean holes with wadcutter pellets.

I like using the targets my oldest boy and I would make out of paper plates to go shoot the .22LR all we had to do was draw a bullseye on with a magic marker. I don't see why it wouldn't work for pellet guns just as well. Charcoal briquets work well too, and are pretty fun to shoot and biodegradable.

Get a backer of some sort. Fresh cardboard or thick paper stock, or even the think glossy cover a magazine will help. Try using manila folders and my favorite is the thin cardboard from a 30 pack of beer. Even the side panels of a six pack or of a coke fridge pack will work very well.

It also helps to shoot just 1 pellet per target. Maybe 2.

I've been using CDs/DVDs that I've been getting in the mail. At 20 meters with a .177 domed pellet, I get a nice clean hole. I set up a "T-bar" style target stand using a 2x4 as the crossbar. Ran it through the table saw to get a 1/8" slot to stand up the discs and then set several at varying distances off the porch.
