A friend and myself attended the rally at Harrisburg yesterday, pretty darn cold, and Rep. Daryl Metcalfe announced that they are going to introduce HB 357.

Metcalfe said his Right to Bear Arms Protection Act (House Bill 357) would:
•Prohibit enforcement of any new federal registration, restriction or prohibition requirement for privately owned firearms, magazines and ammunition.
•Require the state of Pennsylvania, including the Office of Attorney General, to intercede on behalf of Commonwealth citizens against any federal attempt to register, restrict or ban the purchase or ownership of firearms and firearms accessories which are currently legal products.

During the rally Rep. Metcalfe also said, although I cannot find it on-line, that HB357 would also make it a felony offense for any officer that attempted to enforce any new regulations.

We need to contact our Reps. and tell them that we support HB 357 and therefore they should as well.

Excellent. More and more states are doing this. I hope a few more do it (including mine). And I hope they pass!

I'll be writing in my support for it. I had wanted to forward the proposed bill from Wyoming, but my house seat (district 42) is vacant.

Good I'm glad that Pa. is going to try and get this bill passed. As far as I'm concerned it's not the federal government's place to tell me what I can own. I'll be contacting my rep's with in the next day or two to tell them to support this bill.

They're doing this in Washington State as well, according to the rally. I'll be emailing everyone that represents me to let them know that I want this to go into effect.

While you are writing them......ask them to consider CCW reciprocity with OHIO !
That's not their fault. Ohio has some ridiculous training requirement and PA doesn't require anything that meets their standard. Of course, you can just get the UT or FL permit and be good to go there and lots of other places too.
