The following from FOAC

Pennsylvania Update on Story Above

Breaking news has come into FOAC that Democratic State House of Representatives Member Louise Bishop is circulating a memo indicating that she intends to reintroduce her past legislation that would create a similar system of “Ballistic Testing†for firearms and ammunition here in PA. The past session legislation, HB 246, was not popularly supported and hopefully will not be this time either especially in light of the misdirection of scarce funds to elitists agendas instead of helping local and state police acquire real crime fighting tools to prosecute “real†criminals and not chase loose ends and false leads.

Either she is oblivious to the failures of this type of testing OR catching criminals is not the purpose of this system. Either way her effort demonstrates a fundamental lack of knowledge in the issue and reminds us of the floor debate (on a gun control measure) between Rep. Dwight Evans and Rep. Daryl Metcalfe wherein Rep. Metcalfe asked as to whether Rep. Evans ever read Article 1, Section 21 of the PA Constitution and he admitted that he had not. By the way, both Evans and Bishop are members of the Philadelphia Black Caucus, which overwhelmingly supports every gun control measure in the legislature.

The above mentioned reads as follows.

Right to Bear Arms
Section 21.
The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

The writer wonders as to whether Ms. Representative Bishop has read or is otherwise aware of Article 1, Section 21.

I do not know how much in the way of public funds New York State has pumped down the rat hole that is this "ballistic fingerprinting" scam however Maryland seems to have so done with about 14,000,000 dollars of public funds (taxpayers money).

That might be alright for them, however I didn't know that Pennsylvania was so flush with cash, that it too could so act. Matter of fact, I was certain that Pennsylvania has all sorts of financial problems. Could it be that I'm wrong?
