Pentax Riflescope review

All,

I am looking at a Pentax scope. I have never tried one and am not sure how it would perform or what it would compare to? Has amyone owned one? Used one? that could give me some feedback?

I have owned the folllowing and am wondering which one of these it would be closest to?

Bausch and Lomb
Burris
Leupold
Bushnell
BSA
Tasco
Weaver
Zeiss

Which Pentax? They make 3 grades. I was really shocked by the clarity of the Gameseeker I bought.

Pentax is excellent, much like a nikon, made all in japan, with japanese glass, thorougly inspected, hi quality, pretty much no questions asked , lifetime warranty stuff. 'chef recommends'...

I originally purchased it for my Saiga 7 X 39. Now I have it mounted on my m4gery. I purchased after looking online and based on the reviews at Midway, I picked it up. The optics are fantastic and in the dark of night targets are visible downrange. Also, this particular model has a bullet drop compensator.

i bought a gameseeker, and it fell apart on its first range session. still haven't heard a word from pentax about it, and they've had it for a month, now.

won't buy another one.

Sorry about your bad luck,Dakotasin, I've read lots of mostly very good stuff about these scopes. I haven't ever had one and can't confirm anything either way, but i'm interested in more reviews.

Some of Nikon's lower grades like the Buckmaster are made in other countries. (In the case of the BM, in the Philippines.)

Pentax makes the glass for Burris too. The Lightseekers are a great scope. Where are you looking to buy?
