pepper enforcement OC

Yes its a brand. Its made by personal safety corporation. Its their law enforcement formula.

My picks....

I like; Fox Labs Mean Green, Zarc Industries Vexor, microspin format & Sabre Green Crossfire.
I got a Zarc/Vexor mark IV size last year. Id suggest not buying the "yellow" safety version. It's not quick or easy to use under stress. :uhoh:
Stick to the flip-top style. It's safe and fast.
I wanted to order some Sabre Green Crossfire OC but alas, it's not for general public or individual officer(public safety/corrections) sale. :(
The Sabre Green formula is potent. The blend includes Wasabi :uhoh:. It's reported the decon is fast & easy too compared to other chemical sprays.

Mean Green is well made. I carry a Mk III size a lot just for extra protection. It includes a green marking dye for thugs or armed attackers.

Pepper enforcement 10 percent is 1.33 percent capsaicinoids and uses the same carrier as fox. So its as hot as sabre red but takes effect faster.

I'd go with a proven OC like Zarc, Fox Labs, First Defense, Sabre Red/Green.
Same here. There's no reason to not use the same stuff LE agencies in your area issue (provided they don't issue garbage, which isn't usually the case), even if other companies make a "Law Enforcement formula."

I mean, maybe my thought process here is justified, and maybe it's not; but when it comes to self defense products, I like to use the same stuff the cops use, whenever possible. Why? I don't want any lawyer ever telling a jury (God forbid it ever goes that far) that I used anything "obscure" or "unusually cruel/deadly/whatever" to protect myself or my family.

It includes a green marking dye for thugs or armed attackers.
Just informational - I'm sure you already know this, but others might not: Those marking dyes in OC sprays are illegal in some states.

Good point....

I was aware of the dye marking point but didn't post it. That's worth knowing too for some states/cities. ;)

Another point is the size. Some places restrict personal OCs or chemical agents to 2oz or less.
Some like my state do not put a lot of laws or mandates on EDWs or defense sprays. You can strut down the street with 2 Mk 9 size cans like Dog Chapman. :D
I got a Zarc Industries Mk IV size Vexor for security posts but my Mean Green III size is fine. If I could, Id carry a Sabre Green Crossfire Mk IV but I can not, so the Mean Green will have to do.

Never heard of them but if a companys name is so generic and "special" that it reads like some dollar store bootleg junk id generaly say avoid it and go with somthing of a known quantity

Find some Phantom. That stuff is FOUL! This is know from painful personal experience, and I'm not the guy getting sprayed. That juice is plain evil - watched a six foot raving lunatic shrink to a ten year old crying girl in the clutches of that hellbrew.

I nailed two guys fighting with Sabre Red at close range. It did absolutely nothing. Now, in all fairness, that can was "stream", and I've been told "cone" works better, but I used what I was issued.
I remember a co-worker gassing his Coke with LE Bodyguard-10. he said it made it spicy and fun. No, I am not making that up.

OC sprays; reactions....

In the mid 2000s, when I took my pepper spray/Mace class, www.S2Institute.com , our cadre told us how about 1 in 50 people have no reaction or response to pepper sprays/chemical agents. :uhoh:
He claimed to have no medical or physical response to Mace.

does mot always work

after 10 years in LE, I can say OC spray does not always work. Have seen people covered to the point of only having eyes not covered still fighting. Seen guys look at me and laugh. seen a deputy squirt it up his nose and not go down. have been on the receiving end during tussles and learned too fight through it myself. also had too be sprayed too use it. seems like it does not work well on bi-polar people either

Not to sidetrack, but along the same lines. You see so many products that look the same externally, especially the pen pepper spray and the ASP keychain "defenders" is there one common manufacturer or different ones? For example, does MACE and SABRE make the product in house independent of one another?

Thanks,
Dave
