I already own two .40cal (Glock 19 and Sig P229) each of which I keep with a single magazine of Corebond, a 12 guage, and a .264 Magnum rifle with a 4x scope. I keep those in the house, and will carry my Sig CCW once I have one of Nebraska's new CCW permits. I am looking for something more serious, along the lines of a TEOTWAWKI. I believe any real scenario would involve much more chaos from criminals/gangs taking advantage of a disaster than invasion by MZBs (think New Orleans). I live in the city.

So, my first thought for a "fighting weapon" was a rifle of some sort, such as an AR or SKS (I own a scoped hunting rifle .264 Mag). However, I would like something fairly inconspicuous, usable from inside a vehicle, and usable one handed. I would also like it to penetrate light cover (walls, tree, car, light body armor), and all things being equal I would rather have a large magazine capacity.

I am now leaning heavily towards a carbine of some sort or a modified SMG. My current frontrunner is the PS90, my major concern there being the money it would take for me to become proficient since ammunition is so expensive (not to mention the weapon itself). Do any of you have an alternate suggestion? If so, please tell me why.

Thank you in advance.
