Last year I bought a sendero in the 300 rum best load to this point is 92 grains of retumbo behind 180 ttsx .8 inch 3 shot group looking for any recomended loads to try. Also any recommendations on where to get a sporter weight stock. The gun weighs about 12.5 lbs with a 5-25 swavorski would like to reduce some weight as well. I am thinking of a Browns percision stock any thoughts

300 rum

I bought mine around '99 I think, when they first came out. It is a wood/blue with iron sights 700. They was no loading information nor brass available so I bought 5 boxes of Rem. ammo that was loaded with Nosler 180's
On a hunch I called Nosler and they gave me a MAX load. I've been using it since.
I'd work up to it.
Nosler 180
96.5 gr RL-25
Fed 215
3250 fps

Thanks

I got plenty of brass now. Just didn't have any in 1999

3070 sticks in my mind I'll check my records but I don't have them with nowhere

From the title, I thought this was a collection of cocktails mistakenly posted under rifles.
I guess that is what happens when you call reload data "recipes."

I have a Savage M110 w/26" bbl. Savage used the same throat reamer as they did for the companion.300wbymag. In other words, a 0.375" freebore.

I find data closely matches published data.
My favorite loads:
200grn Sierra GameKing, 90grn RL25, ditto 200grn Nosler Part; 3,050fps (seat to 3.585")
180grn Hornady PTSPT Interlok; 100grn Retumbo, to edge of cannulure, not in. 3,350fps,
Ditto 180grn Nosler part. at 3.585" (to fit magazine- hunting, not match loads, but at, or under moa).
My most favorite however is 180grn Rem Corlokt (no longer available in components) over 105.0 grn of WC-860 for 3,300fps.
I bought bullets in '05 for 0.09 each. Powder for $5/lb. 200 Rem cases for $90. $200 for Rifle! $22 for dies, shell holders. Scope I won in pistol matches.
I don't hunt or shoot it much, but can't bring myself to sell it! Made longest shot I ever made with it in '11. 485yds measured w/laser rf. used Retumbo and 180grn Hornady SST. (Too little expansion). Just a pin hole through deer but hit spine.. DRT,

However, it draws blood on both ends. Weatherby eye every time I've shot game!! If I used it more, I'd work up a reduced load with ACC5744 (see Lee #2, or Accurate Powders fo load.. 180grn bullet, 60grn for 3,000 fps... I suggest Hornady 180grn Interlok.). But, with reduced load, I might shoot it more...
But my Colt Lt.Rifle in '06 weighs 3 lbs less and kills just as well... Guess which goes elk hunting...!

Ever heard of a 'recipe' for disaster. Sometimes broadening ones horizon is a good thing. lol

I consider a "recipe" for reloading to be what an Internet Reloader is searching for when he has some 147 grain .30 bullets and can only find data for 150s. "What do I DO?"
