PETA Not ALL Wrong

If you read through some of the feedback...It's pretty funny how many people who support radical animal rights will physically threaten those who do not agree with their position.

That's hardly an exception. Most of them hate humankind period. Why else would they prefer to let a kid die of cancer than to kill a rat.

They are a bunch of cowardly hypocrites. Throwing red paint on little old ladies wearing furs? Why don't they invade a biker bar and throw red paint on the men there wearing leather?:barf:

Ran into one of the radical animal rights activist one day, he was going on about disrupting hunts on public land. I gave him an invitation to come disrupt my hunt on private land. Gave him detailed directions. This was several years ago. Haven't seen the brave hunt disrupter.

They're scum.

I happen to view peta's activiets along with hsus, elf, and the like, as domestic terrorism.

Have you ever heard the story of the Talkeetna Moose Drop? (I heard it in Talkeetna.)

Talkeetna, Alaska is a very small town (it's main claim to fame is that's where you start your climb of Mount McKinley.) They have an old frame hotel there dating back to Gold Rush days (or thereabouts) and a very small (about 100 yards square) park.

They have an annual event, the Talkeetna Moose Drop. They collect moose droppings, put numbers on them and put them into a balloon. They send this balloon up over the park (which has a bullseye drawn on it) and shoot the balloon with a rifle. Closest moose dropping to the center wins.

PETA wrote them a nasty letter. They replied, saying no moose had ever been hurt in the Talkeetna Moose Drop.

PETA wrote them an even nastier letter. They replied, saying the moose enjoy it.

PETA wrote them an outraged letter. They replied, saying the moose are specially trained and they have a veteranarian on hand.

PETA wrote them an incoherent letter spattered with droplets of saliva. They took the stuffed moose from the hotel lobby, strapped pillows and cushions all over it, took a pictue and sent it to PETA.

The last I heard, PETA was threatening to sue them for the "hoax.":p
