I was just reading the Hi-Point thread and also read some S&W and Ruger sellout links in the thread. It got me thinking about the current political climate. I'm concerned-Very Concerned. I'm kind of awakening to my 2nd amendment rights lately. I grew up around firearms and hunting/target at the farm but as an adult have just started shooting and collecting. And thinking...
Someone else will surely know if we could petition or sue if/when the libs manage to take away ammo or our toys. CA could do so NOW. Is there a legal precedent for sueing for the return of a citizen's rights? By what part of the Constitution of the USA can a person be made a second class citizen? I thought all men were supposed to be created equal and have the "right" to the Bill of Rights?
I'm in Missouri and this hasn't really affected me---YET. Aside from full autos I think-dunno.
Point being if legislation can be enacted by lawsuit why can we not sue for our rights as others have sued to take them away?
