In a great victory for the American People, the U.S. Court of Appeals overturned the DC handgun ban saying it was a violation of the second amendment. For the first time in years a court held that the second amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms. The United States Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case. Defenders of the second amendment have been working hard for just this moment in history for years.

Last Friday, the United States Solicitor General filed formal briefs asking the Supreme Court not to affirm the lower court’s decision. This is just outrageous. The Solicitor General is the Federal Government’s lawyer. So, now we have the federal government using our tax dollars to argue for a delay on a ruling concerning our fundamental rights.

Take action today - sign this petition to let the government know that you value your second amendment rights. Together, we can ensure that your rights are protected. For the first time in years we have the opportunity for the Supreme Court to clearly say that the second amendment applies to all Americans and that no government can ban all handguns.

Let your voice be heard - sign the petition today.

It is difficult to exaggerate what is at stake in this case; it is the first major Supreme Court review of the Second Amendment in over seventy years. This case will likely establish an important precedent on the issue of second amendment rights - let us make sure that it is one that protects our rights.

Sign the petition today – together we can protect our Second Amendment rights.

1. Good to hear it. Poor Sarah Brady!:neener:
2. Signing online petitions is a waste of time, (un)fortunately.

Save 2nd Amendment??

I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE 2ND AMENDMENT IS NOT TOUCHED OR CONTAMINATED IN ANY WAY BY FILTHY HANDS.

My article will be published in 6 days, probably the first pro 2nd Amendment article to be sent out here in New York. I will also be giving out copies on the subway.

As Comrade Mao Zedong says, revolution never ends.

AS GUN OWNERS, WE MUST ALWAYS BE VIGILANT FOR FILTH TRYING TO CREEP OUT OF THE SEWERS AND TAKE OUR RIGHTS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER.

Heres something we can do to help.

ON many forums, Ive seen many disagreements between lets say......Glock shooters and 1911 shooters, Remington rifle shooters versus Winchester shooters. These arguments are very childish and remind me of little more than adult babies. We must cast our differences aside and unite as ONE unconquerable force. After all, our great leaders Jefferson, Reagan, and Washington and many others would not like how we are faring together. Lets improve ourselves so that our forefathers in Heaven can smile down at us and say that we have truly done our best to build America into what it REALLY should be, not how it is today, rife with bad culture such as porn and violent hip hop.

Rachen is right.

Even though we won a great victory we need to remember that freedom is not free and we will have to fight ignorance and injustice again, so make sure you go out and vote in 08!!!!

not how it is today, rife with bad culture such as porn and violent hip hop.

Don't forget those horrible comic books leading our youth astray, and that vulgar Elvis Presley shaking his hips for all the world to see!

I actually agree with you though, our culture is awash in depravity, it's just funny how different generations use the same mantras but apply them to modern fads. Go 2A!

i just got this link from another website and i hadnt seen it posted here. i'm surprised that only 8000 people have signed it. It wouldnt take 5 minutes for 8000 people to sign something anti-gun.

OOH! I just signed it. Now I'm on a future list of people to visit after a federal gun ban! haha. Good thing I only own a few very small arms. Not enough money for anything major, so....I feel fine. haha
