I'm generally a noob when it comes to semi autos in terms of what is ok and what is not.

my pf9 is making a noise as I slowly pull the trigger, its almost springy sounding click noise and it seems to be coming from the trigger bar, is this normal or should I call up keltec?

It fires just fine, I'm just very unframiliar with autos and would like to head off a problem before it becomes serious (if a problem exists)

without seeing it and hearing it i dont think i could make an educated guess or observation!

i would take it to a local smith, or knowledgeable firearm store staff!

I'd diassemble the gun and blow the trigger system with compressed air. I can just bet that you have some hard dirt creating that gritty sound. The springy sound may just be the spring that either holds the hammer or the trigger bar that might just need thorough cleaning and lubing.

Is the gun new?

I own half a dozen KelTecs. The trigger pull has been correctly described as resembling that of a staple gun. I assume you are hearing this sound when you dry fire? Sort of "click-sproing"? If you can locate another KelTec, see if it makes the same sound. I'm guessing it's normal.

I have a pf9. i'd say its either normal or you have a bit of dirt making it louder. The staple gun is a GOOD description.

mine is brand new, its one of the newer models, staple gun is a good discription for the noise I'm hearing, its still a steady trigger pull it just sounds like some thing is getting caught on something as I pull the trigger and at the same point everytime it makes an odd noise as if the tension is being released.

I'm just confused by it
