I did a little searching and it appears others have removed the LC9 magazine disconnect safety without impairing the function of the gun.

You know they are the forth largest make of firearms in america. Read that in a gun digest i think. 400,000+ firearms last year.

Scotch, I did manage to get the pin to come out by shaking and whacking the thing but it took a little work. The hardest part was keeping the slide in the right position while shaking the gun. Thanks for the tip.
I put my index finger into the trigger guard and use my thumb to push the slide backwards a little and the pin pretty much falls out. I suppose that is why they have the sliding piece there.

Many people have removed the magazine disconnect but the process is fairly complicated and if you screw up, springs and parts everywhere.
