I've got an idea brewing but I need a pic to confirm.

Can someone post a side by side view of a P7 PSP and P7M8 magazine? I'm interested in the left side, right side, and rear views.

I know the release is different between them but I'm wondering if I can just buy a M8 magazine and mill the square hole in the back of the mag to work with the heel release of the PSP magazine. PSPs are hard to find but if I have to mod a M8 so be it.

I'm wondering ...

The answer is; Yes you can. Someone did the conversion of a M8 to a PSP mag on another forum. The forum is down right now. When it comes back up, I'll post a link.

don't forget that you'll need to flush the mag catch for the M8 mag to clear the mag well

how old/condition is you M8 mag...i have several PSP mags, maybe we can work a trade

I don't have any M8 mags. I just have the single PSP mag that came with the gun. Every time MidwayUSA emails me that they are in stock I click the link within 10 minutes and it's "Out of Stock-No backorder". I'm getting pissed off LAMF and need a solution. All I want is two extra mags. One in the gun, one on my belt, another as a backup.

I looked but can't find the conversion post on another forum, but the poster carefully measured the square hole on a PSP mag, then cut a hole in a M8 mag and filed off the M8 mag catch bump. He posted that it functioned well. He evidently had some metal working skills. My guess is that the biggest problem may be in filing and smoothing the inside of the mag where the hole is cut to eliminate burrs that may interfere with operation. If you attempt it, please post the results.

That's pretty much how I was going to do it. Mill the square hole, mill the mag release bump off, smooth it over. I'll post results when I do it. Maybe I can make a bunch and sell them. I'll see how it goes.

PSP magazines arent hard to find as long as you are willing to pay 90+ bucks for one

I hear the M8 mags are more still

M8 mags used to be a bit more than the PSP mags, but i noticed on Midway's site that the PSP mags are about $10 more now. i guess it must be the supply and demand working.

i'd still trade a PSP mag for a same condition M8 mag...i have both new and used ones. i'd be embarassed to sell one for $90
