H&K P7 mag question

Can P7M8 magazines work in a P7PSP? With PSP mags going for right at $50ish a piece in the few places I have looked and P7M8 mags going for about half of that I am thinking of purchasing P7M8 mags for my PSP.

NO. One has butt release and one has release behind the trigger.

I know that a P7M8 mag (American release) will not work in a P7PSP (heel release). But what about the other way around.

Oddly, a bunch of P7M8 mags I have handled have the PSP cutout on the back. I am not sure why, as the extended latching thing for the M8 would seem to not fit into PSPs. Weird, though.

I thought I has seen PSP mags going for nothing. Like $13 not too long ago. Must have been a temporary surplus.

You should be able to convert a P7M8 magazine to function in a PSP. It would require filing off the front "step", and making the rectangular hole in the back wall of the magazine, but it's not that hard to do.
