CZ-52 is a 1953 rearsenal. Holster has the soldier's name written on it. Both guns shoot flawlessly.

Nice! I have both guns and enjoy them too.

I especially like the folder on the AMD. Mine is an AWB-era fixed stock model with the plastic grips.

How do you guys like your AMD's? I was thinking of building one but wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it more than a normal AK.

Mmm... I was also thinking of making a krinkov or shorter AMD and getting an SBR permit for it as a graduation present. That idea, I like.

Spooky,

I like mine quite a bit, but I don't have another AK to compare it to. It's a fun plinker and accurate for the type. Having the stamped receiver and wire stock, it's very light. You don't get a great cheek weld, but it's not hard to shoot good. The steel furniture sheds heat well, although I try to spare my barrel and not heat the snot out of it.

I've found that Wolf 154g SPs group the best out of the Russian fodder available. It's also cheap enough to my all-around 7.52x39 ammo, as well as my secondary hunting round (out of a Yugo SKS, not the AMD).

And have I mentioned that it's really cool? I've got a Romanian drum for it, as well as a variety of stick mags. It always draws a crowd at the range.

It's been reliable for me through about 1k rounds. It's only had two ftf or jams, both with a friend of mine. I don't know what he was doing, or if it's possible to limp wrist an AK!
