My first polymer pistol. Im wondering if they made a quick slide pull adaptor on this like glocks. I have not been able to google one up. Id just like to try it out. I can charge the slide in one fast forceful motion, but it requires 2x the force as my 1911 or HiPower. Im sure its the double spring guide rod.

Do you hav any range time on it yet? Rack it one time and shoot a a couple hundred rounds . By then the recoil spring will have soften up enough and you should have no trouble racking with ether a pinch and pull like you may use on 1911 or palm grab the slide and push your hands in opposite directions. Thats what my youngest does with my kahrs when she shoots them and they are seriously stiff when even broke in.

Mine is very tough as well (XDm 40). I wonder if the full size (which uses a non-captive spring) would be better?

I have no problem manipulating the slide, but one-handed drills are pretty much not an option. Maybe I should look into something besides the XD line if this isn't very common...I like the features on paper, but I've found the controls to be fairly stiff, especially with a full magazine.

I used to practice charging the slide on my XD45 using my belt to catch the rear sight.

It is possible.

Springer Precision makes two models, one is for range or competition use and the others for carry.

It's called the Springer Precision EZ Slide Racker.

You may just need to shoot the gun more, or leave the slide open overnight. Dual Recoil springs are stiff at first..
