Overall very impressed, trigger was nicer than I expected.

I do have one question. How do you safely drop the hammer?

hold hammer firmly between thumb and index finger of weak hand and pull trigger as you gently lower the hammer. point weapon in a safe direction just in case you have way too much lubricant on the sides of the hammer! practice w/out round in chamber until you feel safe doing it, or until someone else comes along and suggests a better idea.

I've seen the pro's

do it this way.
You put your thumb between the hammer and the frame where the fireing pin is located with your free hand. You can let the hammer drop hard on your thumb,[which does NOT hurt at all],or you can ease it down with the thumb of your other gun holding hand while you are pulling the trigger. How ever, either way, keep your gun holding thumb on the hammer and while you gently let it down on the fireing pin as you remove your free hand thumb that is blocking the fireing pin.
If the hammer should accidently slip from your thumb, there shouldn't be enough force and distance travel for the hammer to strike the bullet primer hard enough to fire.
I did it this way with my EAA Witness .45 Carry Comp..

Rember, though,to always point the pistol somewhere where if it does go off,it won't hurt anyone.

Pull trigger. Ease hammer down with thumb.

Nice thing about the CZ-75B, the safety can only engage when the hammer i down, and it can be carried 'cocked and locked'.

I believe you should have said that the safety can only be engaged when the hammer is fully cocked ... for cocked and locked carry.
