I droped off my 75b last week to my friend the smith to do some action work,I plan on giving it a try for Idpa this summer for something different.Ive been shooting Glocks and 1911's and have never really tried double/singles before so I want to try to learn a new platform.
I have to say Im impressed with his work,he replaced the trigger with a shorter one with an over travel stop, recut the hammer, replaced the fireing pin with a longer one, changed out the springs and polished all the internals.
This is as close to a 1911 trigger as I think you could get on a double/single,If it was not for the reset it would be.The trigger scale say's 3.2 for single and 5.0 in double. It feels like the trigger on my tunned 586.
I still have to give it a good wringing out with different primmers and loads to make sure Im good to go,but It seams ok.

Well if you weren't gonna use it for Idpa I would say remove the FPB and you could shorten the reset a little but doesn't look like that's an opinion for you. Glad to hear you like your CZ.

My stock (as far as I know since I bought it used) CZ75D PCR, which is broken in, does about 3.5 SA on my RCBS scale. The scale only reads up to 8lbs, and the DA is heavier than that so I'm not sure what the DA pull is...I would say less than 9lbs. My newer less shot CZ 75B stainless is about 4.5 lbs SA. This is just to add ome perspective.

I removed my FPB and lifter and did a trigger job myself. Not quite 1911 nice, but leaps and bounds better than stock.

IDPA frowns on some mod's like trigger stops, well they did 15 years ago, maybe the rules have changed.

My new 75B just loves the Winchester hollow base 115 FMJ and the Hornady HAP. They do have short throats, so cone shape bullets like the XTP/HAP need to be seated to a short OAL.

Congrats on a great pistol.

Thought I read the rules now say you cant remove FPB from guns, I cannot find it now of course.

Total hijack, but I posed about how awesome a Sig DA/SA reset can be by removing the block on other forums, and people thought I was insanly dangerous. I was scared to pick it up and load it!!:D

For ssp you can not remove the fireing pin block,The trigger can be purchased on another 75 model so its deemed legal. for esp. I believe I could remove the block but would be limited to one division so Ill have to deal with the longer reset.I will have to get used to it, last night running some drills I
I had a few non resets It does run out real nice though ,very accurate.
Thanks,Bob.
