Not sure when I'll get to fire some rounds through it but can't wait. I've shot them before and did very well. In the mean time I'll be looking for holsters for it as I will carry this little piece some day.

I got the V3 model with decocker.

I'll try and post pics and the 1st range day at a later time.

I edited the OP. Shame on me for leaving out the important details!

You won't loose your thumb!

There's an internal mechanical safety device in the P2000SK that in order for the gun to fire both the hammer and trigger need to excercised. Therefore, an accidental strike to the firing pin won't discharge the gun if the trigger was not pulled also. I believe this is true with the USPs but not sure. Keep the finger off the trigger and your thumb will be just fine.

Maybe an HK buff can help me out or correct me if I'm wrong.

I just got the exact same model and variant too!

Can't wait to shoot mine. My P2000 full size is one of my favorite 9mm's.

Is HK discontinuing some certain models?[/Quote]

They discontinued their P7 series and the stainless slides on USP and USPc guns.

But other than that their is nothing that I am aware of.

I bought the P2000. I feel that the USP is beefier.
Yay my USPs.
I work best with my USP45, very easy to shoot things, and 100%.
