I bought my kids a Heritage Rough Rider for Christmas. It was used. It misfired a lot and several attempts by the seller to fix it didn't fix the problem. Then I asked him to order me a brand new one. After a month, I all I had was a broken gun and a bunch of excuses why he didn't have my new gun yet. I finally got fed up and got my $$$ back.
I took that money and put it on a Single Six.
I paid it off and picked it up today.
It was immediately clear why it cost twice as much as the Heritage. The fit and finish and overall feel of the gun was just night and day compared to the Rough Rider.
I have yet to shoot it. Maybe tomorrow or Wed. If it shoots as good as it looks and feels, the kids might not get a chance to shoot their Christmas present right away.
