Picking up range brass

Regarding the primer pocket swaging, I picked up a set of reamers for the primer pockets (for large and small primer pockets) and chucked them into my cordless drill to make short work out of a bunch of once-fired LC brass I inherited.

Going to post something similar

I was going to post this with a "I'm feeling guilty" line but, well...

Out here in the great white north everyone has been loosing their brass in the snow and it's FINALLY melting a bit where all this brass "poked" through.

I shot one mag through my AR and just couldn't resist any longer.

(45's on the left, 223 in the middle, larger rifle on the right)

As to the safety of the brass.. I've gotten a lot of brass this way (not nearly this much before) and reloaded it with no problems. I agree with the tumbling comments, amazing how clean a nasty looking case can get.

Hey, I left the 40's, 9's and 7.62x39's for someone else :)

A good way to sort 45acp brass from 40S&W and 9mm is to have a case feeder and put the small pistol plate into it. take the tube and fix a pan under it and turn it on. The 40S&W and 9mm will fall and the 45ACP will stay in the case feeder.

I leared this after a couple days of shooting (on a trip away from haome) I had a lot of 40S&W and 45acp brass in a Large ice chest in the back of the pick-up. Cousin got a little carried away on a corner on a rough road and covered his bed with brass. The brass was seperated by a few boxes of ammo but not any more.

After that I just through it all back in the chest and sorted after I returned home with the case feeder as my friend.
